The age range for joining Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball is between 4 and 18 years old.
Well this should be no surprise but we offer T-Ball, Baseball, and Softball.
TBall is coed and offered for players 4 to 6 yrs old
Baseball is coed as well, and offered for players 6 to 18 yrs old
Softball is offered to biological girls and for players 6 to 18 yrs old.
The Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball Fall season is set to begin practices in August. The season will officially begin in September and run thru Mid November.
The Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball is in district 10 for baseball and district 6 for softball.
Baseball will likely play the following leagues: Belleview, East Marion, Leesburg, Mt. Dora, Ocala Carrigan, Ocala Highlands, Ocala Rotary, Sorrento, South Lake, Sumter County, Taveras, Citra Wrigley, Umatilla, Wildwood
Softball will likely play the following leagues: Altamonte Springs Softball BR, Leesburg Rec BR, Mt. Dora BR, Tavares BR, Umatilla BR, Sorrento BR,West Volusia BR, West Orange Girls Club,West Orange BR, Wildwood BR and Clermont BR
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball are required by Babe Ruth to place players in their division based on their ages. This makes it fair for all players in all divisions. League age is based off the players date of birth, even though your child may be for example 6yrs old, but depending on the month of birth may be considered league age 7.

Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball works to make practices on select nights of the week. Until the board has a full head count of players and how many teams, practices and games can not be scheduled. There will be games during the week and there will be games on Saturdays as well. We NEVER practice or have games on Wednesday or Sunday.
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball plans on having our teams entered into all tournaments that our teams qualify for. Tournaments are offered to all divisions of play.... YES THAT INCLUDES TBALL TOO!
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball has some equipment available, however parents will need to provide a bat (please ask your coach for bat regulations), a helmet and cleats. All male players from Rookies and above are REQUIRED to wear a protective cup. All female players are REQUIRED to wear a facemask (softball) on their helmet and if they are playing the position of pitcher, 1st Base and 3rd Base.
The registration fee covers the following for the season. 1. Umpire Fees (up to $70 per home game) 2. Insurance (This insurance will be billed first then your personal health insurance in case of accident/injury.) 3. Uniform ( The uniform is ordered within the first week of practice. Uniform consist of a jersey ( with players last name, number on the back, and sponsor on the sleeve) a hat/visor or bow. Parents will be required to provide pants, belt, cleats, and socks.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ONCE YOUR PLAYER IS PLACED ON A TEAM.
Parents will be required to help in the concession stand. We are a volunteer organization and need as much help as possible. You will have a sign up sheet for the concession stand once we have the home game schedules. NO CHILD UNDER 13 YRS OLD WILL BE ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER IN THE CONCESSION STAND. Students needing volunteer hours for school will need to bring all forms for the board president/ vice president to sign.
The goal of lots of volunteers is to not keep parents from watching their child play, we may only keep you for maybe an inning and send you to watch your kiddo play!
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball is always in need of volunteers to be coaches and /or umpires. All coaches/ umpires are voted on by the board. You will be required to take an online coaching class, and pass a background check. YOU CAN NOT BE ON THE FIELD WITH THE PLAYERS WITHOUT A BACKGROUND CHECK. Umpires will need to take a class as well, likely online and in person as well.
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball loves our mom's....BUT...... a "team mom" is listed a a coach, which requires you to take an online coaching course and pass a background check. Each team is only allowed 3 coaches. YOU CAN NOT BE ON THE FIELD WITH THE PLAYERS WITHOUT A BACKGROUND CHECK.
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball puts players and their safety at the forefront of any decision that is made by the board. Unless your child is injured, or is having a discipline issue and you are called into the dugout or onto the field, PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE DUGOUT! YOU CAN NOT BE ON THE FIELD WITH THE PLAYERS WITHOUT A BACKGROUND CHECK.
Lady Lake Youth Baseball & Youth Softball puts players, parents and spectators safety is at the forefront of any decision that is made by the board. Field conditions will be assessed by members of the board throughout the day when we have an impending weather. For cancellations a message will be sent to the coach for the team and sent out to parents. Coaches will have the freedom to cancel a practice at any time, because sometime life just happens. Coaches are NEVER ALLOWED to cancel a game, game cancellation is a decision made by the board.
